Rachel was chosen for the most recent Member Spotlight, an honor chosen collectively by all of the coaches. The members we choose are examples of the mindset and intensity of what a good member should be. Rachel is hard working, studious, consistent, and carries a positive attitude everywhere she goes. She started with us through the Deployed Spouse Scholarship Program we offer not knowing much about anything fitness related. Since then, she has lost a good amount of weight and worked up to being one of our strongest female members. She is an absolute pleasure to coach and we are happy to have her as part of our gym family. Keep up the great work Rachel!

Coming into American Sled Dogs, I literally walked in knowing ZERO about fitness, never laid my hands on weights. I started with a blank page but I believe I’ve come along way with all the coaches Guidance in Lifting & endurance.
What is your primary goal?
My primary goal was to lose weight, push myself out of my contort zone. But It’s become so much more to me then about a number on the scale. I’ve fallen in love with process, learning, practicing & perfecting form and building strength. Love watching the weight on the bar go up!
What keeps you motivated to achieve your goals?
Too see all the progress I’ve made, It’s one of the best feelings to be able to push yourself, to give everything you have during a workout, to do exercises with ease that once felt like your limit.
Plus, I have made some amazing friends with fellow gym members & coaches who motivate you every class!
